Advancing Afterschool and Summer Programming

The Mississippi Statewide Afterschool Network works to better our state and its communities by connecting providers, parents and policymakers with proven tools and resources to increase the quality of and access to out-of-school time programming for K-12 children and youth.

Meet The Team
Amber May
Network Lead
A former middle school math teacher and afterschool program coordinator, Amber has 16 years of experience supporting children and families and serves as an advocate for the service community and community stakeholders. She has established herself as a source for afterschool program subject matter expertise, as evidenced by her key leadership positions within local and national education advocacy groups: Operation Shoestring Programs Director, Afterschool Alliance Ambassador, and a White-Riley-Peterson Policy Fellow.
